Nicaragua Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Extended

The United States has extended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, through January 5, 2012, to eligible nationals of Nicaragua and people having no nationality who last habitually resided in Nicaragua. This extension does not apply to Nicaraguans who entered the United States after December 30, 1998.

El gobierno de los EEUU ha extendido el Estatus de Protección Temporal (TPS) para los ciudadanos de Nicaragua y aquellas personas sin nacionalidad que tuvieron su última residencia habitual en Nicaragua. La extensión será valida por 18 meses, hasta el 5 de enero de 2012. Esta extensión no aplica a los ciudadanos de Nicaragua quien entro a los EEUU después de la fecha 30 de deciembre de 1998.
