On Monday, we talked about DACA and Advanced Parole. Our very own Fidel Campuzano was able to return to the United States after visiting Mexico for the first time since he arrived as child about 18 years ago.
Advanced Parole is available to DACA recipients for humanitarian, employment or educational reasons. This allows a DACA holder to travel outside of the United States for work, for school, or for family.
The approval takes about 6-9 months, so be sure to plan well ahead of your planned trip!
On Thursday, we spoke about President Biden’s State Of The Union address and the different ideas he mentioned for immigration reform.
These are often wishlist items that would need approval from both sides of Congress. So far, everything that has been proposed has not gone all the way through House and Senate, however, it is always encouraging to hear the President continue to address immigration reform in a positive way.
Finally, we have a special announcement: we will not be live in ENGLISH!
Every other Wednesday afternoon we will be live on Facebook and Youtube to answer your questions in English and discuss any current events.
