We ask you to focus on gathering the evidence first, and then you can focus on writing your Affidavit based on the evidence that you have gathered. Please remember that the Affidavit draft that you send to us is not going to be the final version that will be included in your application.

We ask that you please write an overview of your personal story, and any other information that you may think is necessary and important. Please make sure to write down every detail, and even if you don’t think it’s a big deal, it is important to us. It’s the small details that can make a difference in your application.

We also ask that you write this Affidavit in chronological order, with specific dates and details, if available.

It is okay to write this Affidavit in Spanish. Or, if you are not comfortable writing it down yourself, please let us know, and we will help you transcribe it over the phone.

Please read through the Affidavit guide that we have included in your Welcome email, and remember that it is just a recommendation. You do not have to answer every question listed in that guide, and whatever does not apply to you, please ignore it.

Your Legal Team will help you finalize the Affidavit before it goes to immigration, and you will also be receiving a copy of this Affidavit to review the information on it for accuracy.
