Dear Client:
Congratulations! Your U-Visa has been granted!!! 🎉 🎉🎉Â
We know you have been waiting for a long time, and we hope that this good news brings you a sense of relief and security.Â
You should receive your new work permit soon. Your Legal Team will keep track of your work permit expiration date, and reach out to you when it is time to renew.Â
With your work permit, you will be issued a new Social Security Card, and can apply for a Driver’s License if you wish.Â
You are now in U-Visa status, and this means that you must remain physically present in the United States for four (4) years before we can file for your Green Card. You will be eligible to continue renewing your work permit until then.Â
If your application included derivative family members outside of the United States, please contact us so that we can talk about the next steps and Consular Processing, so that we can bring them to the United States.Â
If you have any derivatives that you have not yet added to your U-Visa application, please reach out to us now to see if they are eligible to be included at this time.Â
Please let us know if anything changes in your life such as: a new address, phone number, or email address, a marriage, a divorce, or any arrests, so that we can counsel you and and so that you will know what to expect when it comes time to apply for your Green Card.Â
Please do NOT leave the United States until you have received your Green Card. If you leave the US, it can jeopardize your U-Visa status, and even trigger new immigration violations, which can require a new waiver before we file for the Green Card.Â
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Client Care Specialist. Your Legal Team is readily available to address any questions or concerns you may have.Â
Thank you for your trust and confidence.
Our best,
