Dear Client:

Great news! Immigration has recommended that you be approved to become a United States citizen! 🎉 🎉🎉

You have been put in line, or already been scheduled for, an Oath Ceremony. You will receive a letter from immigration that provides the date and time of your ceremony, and the address of where it will be held. Please make sure that you take this letter with you to your Oath Ceremony.

With this letter, you should have also received a form that asks about travel, address and arrest history since you’ve attended your citizenship interview. Please make sure to fill out that form and take it with you to your Oath Ceremony. If there have been any changes since your interview, please call our office to let your Legal Team know.

You will also need to bring your Lawful Permanent Resident card to the ceremony. Immigration will keep that card because you will no longer need it.

At the ceremony, you will take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States, and become a US citizen. At this time, you will also receive your Certificate of Citizenship.

If you have any children under 18 years of age that are in your custody, and are also Lawful Permanent Residents, they may also become US citizens automatically when you do.

After the ceremony, we recommend that you apply for a US passport, so that you’ll have it if you need to travel outside of the US, and also to serve as proof of your citizenship.

As a US citizen, you will be eligible to register to vote. You will also be eligible to petition for other relatives —please reach out to our office if you have any questions about this, or if you’d like our assistance with the petitioning process for your family members.

We also recommend that you make a copy of your Certificate of Citizenship, to keep for your personal records, and please also send us a copy of it as well so that your Legal Team may archive it with your client file as well. You can bring a copy of your Certificate to our office, and we’d be more than happy to make these copies for you.

Replacements of the Certificate of Citizenship are very expensive, and a pain to replace, so keep your Certificate in a safe place and don’t lose it.

Once again… congratulations! We are so excited for you to take this next step in becoming a US citizen.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Client Care Specialist. Your Legal Team is readily available to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you for your trust and confidence.

Our best,
