Dear Client:

Now that your Legal Team has submitted your application to USCIS for consideration of your case, we will be receiving, or may have already received, a Receipt Notice soon to let us know that your application and the necessary Filing Fees have been received by immigration.

Now, immigration can begin processing your application.

Within this Receipt Notice, there is a Receipt Number that you can use to check the status of your case online.

You can check the status of your case here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Please note that it will feel like a long time before we hear back from USCIS. Some of our very own staff here at Lincoln-Goldfinch Law remember going through the immigration process themselves, such as when our Firm Administrator, Fidel, first applied for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The waiting part is always the most difficult step in the journey for our clients.

However, this does not mean that there is anything wrong with your case. Your Legal Team will be monitoring the progress of your application along with you. Please know that your Legal Team will follow-up with you once they hear anything from immigration.

The next step in your case is to receive a Biometrics Notice. Your Legal Team will follow up with you once they receive this Notice as well. The Biometrics Notice will have the date, time and address regarding your biometrics appointment —what this means is that you will need to attend an appointment to have your fingerprints and photograph taken.

If you have done a recent process with USCIS in the past, it is possible that immigration may not require you to go to another Biometrics Appointment. If this is the case, you will also receive a Notice from USCIS letting you know that they will be reusing your biometric information.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Client Care Specialist. Your Legal Team is readily available to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you for your trust and confidence.

Our best,

Lincoln-Goldfinch Law
