Location
The neighborhood of Blackland is bounded on the north by Manor Rd., on the east by Walnut Rd., on the west by Leona St., and on the south by Martin Luther King Blvd. Founded by immigrants from Sweden, they lived on farming, taking advantage of the rich black soil in the area. Thus the name Blackland.
