Dear Client:

Congratulations! We have received your Deferred Action letter from USCIS. 🎉

The granting of Deferred Action means that immigration has reviewed your case, and believes your case meets the basic requirements to be eligible for relief. This is NOT a formal approval.

However, although your case has not been approved just yet, you are now eligible to apply for a work permit.

If we have not yet filed a work permit application on your behalf, your Legal Team will be reaching out to you shortly. If a work permit has already been submitted, you don’t need to do it again.

We want to remind you that we can apply for derivative family members in the United States, including: spouses, minor children, parents, and sometimes siblings , even for family members who are outside of the United States. Please call us so that we can determine if your family members are eligible to be added.

Deferred Action status does NOT provide travel authorization. It is ONLY a work permit you can renew until your U-Visa is officially approved.

We are unable to tell you exactly how long it will take for your work permit or the final U-Visa approval to arrive, but this is a positive step forward in your case!

Please remember to carry your work permit and Deferred Action letter with you as proof of your immigration status at all times.

If anything in your life changes, or if something important happens that you want us to know, please call us right away!

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Client Care Specialist. Your Legal Team is readily available to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you for your trust and confidence.

Our best,

Lincoln-Goldfinch Law
