This is a mix position, remote and in-person; thus, we are considering applicants from Central Texas (Austin-San Antonio region). As a precursor to scheduling an interview, we invite you to learn more about the type of person we are looking for and the type of firm culture we are building. If you are interested, follow the instructions at the end to send us your resume.

Our Core Values

COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE: We are each of us constantly striving to improve ourselves and our results. We want to make today better than yesterday.

INTEGRITY: We believe in candor – giving and getting honest, constructive feedback: we say things about each other that we would say to their face.

DREAM TEAM: We are a chosen family. We are honored to be together on this mission and we hold each other to the highest standard.

PASSION: We care intensely about the success of our clients and our team members. We are tenacious and optimistic. We are confident in ourselves and our impact on the world.

INCLUSION: We fight the bullies. We intervene when someone is being marginalized. We nurture and embrace differing perspectives with kindness and empathy.

SELFLESSNESS: We set our egos aside and put the team and the mission first.

What Are Some Of The Characteristics That Any Member Of Our Team Must Have?

You must be a positive person who is open-minded and open to feedback. Our team is outstanding and does amazing work. We do not do well with gossip, negative attitudes, making excuses, and inability to work with a team. “That’s not my job” is not a phrase that exists in our office. We have a supportive, unified culture and fitting into this culture is the primary job requirement.

We need people who are not afraid of computers or learning new things that will make their jobs easier. You must be proficient with Word, Google Drive, electronic legal research, and basic case management. Also, we’re looking for someone who not only “follows” policies and procedures, but also embraces them and is thankful they exist because they allow us to provide more quality legal services efficiently.

We need high energy and enthusiasm for the work we do (and life in general). You must be able to work fast and change gears quickly. You must be able to think on your feet and make smart decisions.

You also need to be detail-oriented. We help a lot of people. Working fast is no excuse for careless mistakes. No one’s life should be negatively impacted because our firm made an avoidable error or oversight. It can’t happen.

You must be willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right the first time. In our practice, getting it done right the first time for our clients is very important and we need everyone to work with this goal in mind.

You must, must, must have emotional intelligence and empathy. You must have compassion for our clients and for humankind. You cannot be someone who does not take criticism well or cannot deal well with people. Some of our clients have bad days and do not always make good life choices. They are dealing with a complex and confusing legal system – on top of everything they encounter in their daily lives. Sometimes they take it out on their lawyer. If you do not think that you are up to the challenge of helping sometimes difficult clients, this is not the job for you.

With regard to compensation, it is negotiable based upon experience. This position is an investment in the lives of our clients and the future of our firm. The compensation package plan gives you some control over what you can earn working for our firm. If we succeed, you will too!

If you have gotten this far and are thinking about applying, it means that you are ready for a challenge and want to be part of a team that helps people and rewards excellent work.
