Dear Client:

Good news! Your consular interview has been scheduled. You are one step closer to obtaining your Green Card and becoming a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States. How exciting! 🎉

In order to prepare you for your consular interview, your Legal Team will be scheduling you for two (2) different interview preparation sessions with your attorney.

During your first preparation session, you and your attorney will:

  • Review your case;
  • Address any questions you may have;
  • Set up your biometrics appointment and medical exam appointment;
  • Review the format of the consular interview and what you can expect, and;
  • Discuss the list of documents you will need to take with you.

By this point, your Legal Team will begin preparing your consular packet and will reach out to you with an updated list of documents they will need. Once the packet has been completed, your Legal Team will give this packet to you, so that you can take it with you to your consular interview.

Next comes your second preparation session. During this session, you and your attorney will:

  • Discuss the particular questions you may be asked, both at your medical exam and your consular interview;
  • Review the consular packet together, and;
  • Review the list of original documents and ensure you have everything, such as:
    • Birth certificates
    • Divorce decrees (if your case is marriage-based)
    • Tax transcripts
    • Certified court documents (if applicable)
    • Updated passport (can’t expire within six months of the interview date).

If you have any questions, don’t worry! You will have plenty of time to address them throughout these two preparation sessions with your attorney. For now, please get started in gathering the original documents in the updated list your Legal Team sends you so that you are ready for the preparation sessions, and to start making your travel plans.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Client Care Specialist. Your Legal Team is readily available to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you for your trust and confidence.
