Bryker Woods, TX
The neighborhood of Bryker Woods is bounded on the North by 35th St., on the east by N. Lamar Blvd., on the west by MoPac Expy, and on the south by Westover Rd. Immediately to the east of it is Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin.
Education
The neighborhood is known for being in close proximity to the convenience of downtown Austin and the excellent schools around it. It even has its own elementary school, Bryker Woods Elementary School. It is highly rated and offers quality education. Other schools include:

And most significantly, the neighborhood is very close to the University of Texas.
Recreation
Bryker Woods homes were mostly built between the 1930s and 1950s but homeowners have maintained them well and they have retained classic charm. Surrounded by beautiful trees and well-maintained lawns, the neighborhood is recognized in the National Register of Historic Places.

Despite being a largely residential area, residents have easy access to shopping and dining establishments around the perimeter of the community. Some popular restaurants are:

Bryker Woods is considered one of the best neighborhoods in Austin. Its neighborhood association, Bryker Woods Neighborhood Association (BWNA) works hard to maintain the area’s charm and keep its residents involved and informed.
